This enchanting diversions takes you as far as the confluence with the Lot, at <strong>Bouzi\u00e8s<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The trail takes you past breathtaking cliffs, rocky outcrops and <strong>semi-troglodytic houses<\/strong> and <strong>panoramas <\/strong>breathtaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each village reveals a new jewel: <strong>Espagnac-Sainte-Eulalie and its Val Paradis priory<\/strong>or <strong>Marcilhac-sur-C\u00e9l\u00e9 and its Benedictine abbey<\/strong>silent witnesses to a rich past. Further afield are the villages of Saint-Sulpice and Sauliac-sur-C\u00e9l\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And if you fancy a change of pace, why not swap your walking shoes for a paddle? A <strong>canoeing down the C\u00e9l\u00e9<\/strong>followed by a bivouac by the water's edge, will make your hike an even more memorable adventure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cabrerets, at the crossroads of the C\u00e9l\u00e9 and Lot valleys<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 <a href=\"https:\/\/maisondubarry-cabrerets.com\/en\/cabrerets-guide-to-the-village-and-its-treasures\/\" title=\"Cabrerets : Guide to the village and its treasures\">Cabrerets,<\/a>You will be three-fifths of the way between Figeac and Cahors, and almost at the end of the Vall\u00e9e du C\u00e9l\u00e9, before it joins the Lot valley at a place called <em>Conduch\u00e9<\/em> de Bouzi\u00e8s. <br>The place is a real eye-catcher, with its typical little village nestling between 3 cliff faces, its <strong>Pech Merle cave<\/strong> or the <strong>Ch\u00e2teau des Anglais<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the C\u00e9l\u00e9 valley, why not take advantage of this stage to discover <strong>Saint-Cirq-Lapopie<\/strong>one of the most beautiful villages in France? A short detour to the <strong>Ganil towpath<\/strong>which runs alongside the River Lot, will take you there gently. <br>Then, the GR36 will take you back to <strong>Cahors<\/strong>This is where you'll find the main road to Compostela. Don't miss the Cathedral of Saint-Etienne and the imposing Pont Valentr\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Advice for pilgrims<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Preparation<\/strong> The GR651 is well signposted, but you'll need good shoes for its stony paths and plenty of water, especially in summer. Many pilgrims underestimate the exposure to the sun and the distance between villages. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Portions and cards <\/strong>You can find them on the GR651 page of the Lot tourist office website.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Accommodation<\/strong> Accommodation: Plan your stopping-off points in advance, particularly during the season from April to the end of September. Accommodation is limited and the valley is in high demand!<br>In Cabrerets, <a href=\"https:\/\/maisondubarry-cabrerets.com\/en\/our-rooms\/\" title=\"Our rooms\">the Maison du Barry<\/a> offers 7
